What I Learned at the Momentum Vernissage

Thursday night was one of those evenings that unfolds quietly, beautifully, without force.

I showed The Only Way Out is Through at the Momentum exhibition by the Women’s Art Society of Montreal — and something in the energy just clicked. I didn’t feel the pressure to be “on.” I didn’t chase conversations. I simply allowed the space to hold me.

And it did.

People came. Some I invited, some were surprise visits. Conversations unfolded naturally. Viewers paused in front of the piece, scanned the QR code, and asked meaningful questions. I felt seen — and my work did too.

I left feeling calm, proud, and connected. This is the kind of night I hope every artist gets to experience.

Thank you for being part of this with me.
