Happy In Her Element
Happy In Her Element, 2022, 16”x20”
We were discussing where we would each go to revive our souls. To get away but also restore and reignite our inner fire. I found it interesting that the locations were different but they were all outside. All of us wanted to reconnect in some way with nature, whether the mountains or the water, the forest or a vast open prairie.
I have learned since I began painting how deeply important the water is to me. That being on the beach, warming my toes in the sand, feeling the movement of the waves, that is my place. It takes my many moods and brings comfort to each one.
*note - Colors may vary due to the variation in absorption into the wood panel.
