How I Opened the Door to Momentum
In the first year of painting professionally, opportunities seemed to just… appear.
A gallerist found my work and began showing it across the U.S.
Essie scouted me for a campaign after I set up my Etsy shop.
I painted with chocolate at a fashion event because someone found my art on Instagram.
It felt magical, effortless—like all I had to do was relax, do the work, and let the universe deliver.
And in part, that’s true. Energy matters. Spirit matters. There is a current we can ride when we’re aligned.
But when I reflect on what actually began building momentum in my business—especially this year—it wasn’t just flow.
It was following my sacral.
In February, I started submitting. Anything that sparked a yes in my body—any opportunity that made me feel lit up—I followed it.
Some were yeses. Some were no. But I kept going.
Each submission told the world, I have something to share.
Each action spun the wheel faster.
And what followed felt like a surge.
So yes—energetics matter. Spirit matters.
But so does choosing to show up with joy and action.
I’m still learning how to balance the softness of trust with the fire of response.
But I know this: momentum meets you when you’re moving.
