The Point of the Mountain

There is a moment, somewhere in the middle of every journey, when we forget how much we have already climbed. The Earth Room, part of The Human Design Hotel series, was created as a visual reminder of that truth—a place to pause, feel, and reconnect with the solid ground beneath you.

A Space for Emotional Safety
This painting was born from a desire to create a space where it feels safe to be in your emotions. Its layered texture and grounded palette hold both steadiness and movement, a reflection of what it means to feel deeply without being swept away. Inspired by Brianna Wiest’s words, this work invites the viewer to honor their emotional landscape as part of their evolution.

The Mountain as Teacher
The quote that sparked this piece reminds us that the mountains we climb are not meant to define us but to shape us. In this room, the mountain becomes a metaphor for resilience—the kind that grows quietly as we navigate life’s challenges. The Earth Room honors that strength and encourages each guest to recognize their own endurance, their own becoming.

An Invitation to Presence
May you sit here and feel the full range of emotions with honesty. May the earth beneath your feet remind you of your stability. And may you remember, through every rise and fall, the power that lives within you.
