Celebrate
Title - Celebrate
Size - 30"x40"x1.5"
Medium - Professional grade acrylic on stretched canvas
Signature - Signed on the reverse with the date
Style - Modern, Abstract
I found myself on the night before an opening for an exhibition I was participating in, busy focusing on the exhibition coming the following month. I was lost in the momentum and ever-growing checklist. A friend reminded me to slow down and celebrate.
Since then, I have begun to realize the value of marking an occasion, of stopping to acknowledge an achievement, of celebrating the small steps along the path. There is a sense of slowing down and seeing each step as a valuable part of the journey. A sense of appreciation when I keep going despite the obstacles. I had never thought of celebrating as an intentional practice before. But once you take a step back from the chaos and see all the things you have accomplished and all the opportunities you may have missed to celebrate, you will realize as I have, that there are moments each and every week to celebrate.
