Gathering Spaces
Gathering Spaces, 2022, 12”x16”
I am me in a hundred ways and I am creating space for each. A space with friends, a space in solitude. The balance of being all of myself felt overwhelming at first but then I realized it was more about relaxing into myself. It has become about recognizing those places where is it easy, recognizing the people who see me, and letting my voice speak more of the words within my heart. I have learned to gather spaces that I can visit when I need the silence, spaces for celebrating, and spaces for loving this life. It is a slow process, a deliberate one, a carefully curated journey to allowing that inner me to feel safe in the world.
